Now that you know who your supervisor is, it is time for you to arrange your first meeting. We went through the details of the meeting in class.
Essentially, this year we need to see purposeful meetings that have definite outcomes (To-Do's/ Action Points) that are recorded and placed in your Process Journal.
Below is a diagram showing the main points that would be included in a meeting:

Below is an example outline of an email that could be used to arrange a meeting.
Dear Mr Esmail
I was pleased to find out that you are my Personal Project Supervisor. I would therefore like to arrange a time we could meet for me to discuss with you the following:
1. My Project Proposal
2. My Define the Goals section
It would be great if we could meet on Thursday 10th Oct at 1.45pm, or Friday at the same time. Please let me know if which times are convenient for you. If they are not convenient for you please could you also let me know when would be a good time.
Many thanks
Buffy Summers
You may consider recording the conversations you have with of course the permission of your Supervisor, so that you can concentrate on the meeting rather than taking notes and you have an opportunity to review the meeting later. You can insert these into the Process Journal on ManageBac.
Good luck with your first meeting.
